Sixth plate daguerreotype of three serious-looking women photographed in horizontal format. Case is book form, leather spine, and "marbled" leather "boards" resembling tortoiseshell, with gilt edges.

Condition:  
Front "board" separated, corrosion of mat. Boards slightly warped as if wet at some point. Tarnish ring on plate. Plate with great clarity.
